What are the benefits of working with PET|VET?

Working with PET|VET means maximizing the value of your pet business sale while ensuring a smooth, strategic process. Unlike negotiating with a single buyer, our Structured M&A Auction creates competition among national corporate and private equity firms, driving up your sale price / multiplier and securing the best deal terms.

Key benefits:

  • Higher sale price – Competitive bidding ensures you get top dollar at max multiplier.
  • More buyer options – We connect you with all potential buyers, not just one.
  • Faster, more efficient sale – Clear deadlines keep deals on track.
  • Cultural fit consideration – You choose a buyer who aligns with your values.

The market for pet care businesses is expanding, offering a range of deal structures and financial opportunities. Our expertise helps you navigate these complexities with confidence, ensuring you make the right decision for your business and future. You only have one chance to sell at peak value—partnering with PET|VET ensures you don’t leave money on the table.

What About Confidentiality?

Confidentiality is a priority throughout the entire process. We confidentially  present your business to buyers (whether PE or private individuals) while protecting sensitive information. Our buyer qualification process ensures only serious, financially capable buyers receive information on your business after signing a Non Disclosure Agreement. We are highly sensitive to the team at the business and the larger community who should only learn of the sale once it’s completed.

Why choose an M&A auction approach over single buyer negotiation?

Some sellers may question the need for an auction-style approach rather than negotiating, by themselves, with one buyer. The answer is straightforward: competition drives value. Without multiple buyers in play, there is a significant risk of undervaluing your business and leaving money on the table.

An auction-style approach also gives you the ability to evaluate multiple buyers and their offerings to your team, reputation, and future financial gains.

Our structured mergers and acquisitions (M&A) auction process ensures that potential buyers recognize they are competing with others for your business. This competitive dynamic creates urgency, compelling serious buyers to act swiftly and submit strong, top-tier offers from the outset.
